Pups who received their first Paws Bento this month may have noticed a chic little bowtie in their box. Did you know that all of them were designed, hand-sewn, and packaged by a fur-mom — Amber, from Toronto?
In early 2016, Amber welcomed a corgi girl named Abbi into her family. She wanted to get cute bandanas for Abbi, but after strolling through neighbourhood pet stores, she had no luck in finding ones with the patterns or quality that she was looking for. This is when the idea of creating reversible bandanas with bright colours and modern patterns for pets was sparked. Amber started her own Etsy store — A Round of A Paws — and has recently celebrated the 2-year anniversary of her business!
Providing high quality, durable products at a competitive price is Amber's business philosophy. On top of bringing fashionable prints to pups' closets, she also makes sure her accessories are comfortable for pets by using breathable materials, and tailoring curvatures for a pet's neck. Amber takes pride in offering friendly and reliable customer service. She loves interacting and building relationships with her customers, and seeing their pets looking happy and cute with her products always brings a smile to her face.
Recently, Amber has partnered with the interior design chain West Elm. They will be doing a pop-up event at West Elm's Midtown location in Toronto from June 9th - June 11th, so be sure check them out and say hi!
This year, A Round of A Paws has also successfully raised money and donations for multiple GoFundMe campaigns and charities to assist families with dogs that suffer from long-term medical issues. Many thanks to Amber for her support of such amazing causes!
Amber is taking A Round of A Paws to the next level by selling her adorable accessories to family-owned pet stores. She is working hard to achieve her dream of seeing her products in all of our favourite Canadian pet stores in the future. We wish her the best of luck from Paws Bento!
